Narrativa Familiar Digital Archiving Program

As part of the pride in heritage experience, a program is being developed to encourage and facilitate the Mexican American community’s capturing of digital video recordings of family history. On the website, Dionicio Morales will post his own suggested questions to ask about topics such as these: struggles and triumphs, lessons learned, wisdom, dichos, food, music, family traditions--the rich legacies, laughter and humor unique to each family. The Foundation will encourage use of www.Youtube.com to post the videos and will embed the videos into the Dionicio Morales Foundation website, thus enabling the stories to be shared. In case access to a camera or required technology is unavailable, The Foundation plans to provide a filming space at the office where people can capture their family stories.
